This week is a very busy one!   THURSDAY:  NIU Latin Jazz Dance Party.  There will be a DJ, Free Food, Dance Lessons and a LIVE BAND!  The event is a whole evening of things to do!  It starts at 7:00pm at the NIU School of Music Concert Hall.  Click HERE to see the poster for the event. If you have the chance at 7:00pm CST on a Wednesday, everyone should check out the Music City Roots show.  They have a live feed on www.MusicCityRoots.com, with high quality audio and video.   It’s a Nashville based program that plays traditional American music and a huge variety of new and eclectic styles.  Tonight featured steelpan soloist and composer Jon Scales and his band the Fourchestra!   … if you haven’t heard them, check them out ASAP! — mike
